Can you tell us a bit about your personal lifestyle and how it influences your artistic work?
My personal lifestyle is surprisingly tame! I spend most nights singing in clubs, bars and venues until very late so my time in between that is mostly spent reading and listening to Trad Jazz. This influences my artistic work as I absolutely love stories. My favourite part of being a song writer is writing lyrics and telling stories, whether personal to me or inspired by what I’ve read about.
As an artist, what kind of jewellery do you usually wear to express your creativity and individuality?
I love chunky silver chains, anything that looks like a pirate might wear it and I adore Japanese inspired jewellery. I think being on stage has caused me to gravitate toward big statement pieces as they can be seen from further away.
How do you believe jewellery can enhance and reflect an individual's personal style and lifestyle?
I think Jewellery, similarly to tattoos can tell you so much about someone. Whether they are minimalist, maximalist, delicate, bold, daring, whether they like traveling etc. It is a wonderful way to express yourself and I often feel naked without it.
When it comes to purchasing jewellery, do you tend to gravitate towards timeless classics or unique and unconventional pieces? Why?
I certainly gravitate toward more unconventional jewellery. I have a lot of pieces my friends have made or that are one offs and I love knowing I won’t see them on anyone else. I am always attracted to the weirdest jewellery I can find, I love having things that other people might consider to be ugly!
Do you have any favourite jewellery pieces or styles that resonate with your own lifestyle? Why?
I have a ring from a designer in Greece that I am in love with. It’s very special to me as I was obsessed with it the moment I saw it, but would never have spent so much money on something for myself. My partner at the time surprised me and purchased it for me. This feels like a reminder to do the things for myself that I would have no problem doing for other people. I put other people first too often and this ring is a constant reminder to spoil myself and care for myself before others.
Are there any specific gemstones that you find particularly fascinating or love?
My favourite gemstone is Onyx. I wear mostly black when it comes to clothes, shoes, tattoos and jewellery so I’ve always enjoyed the depth of this stone.
Can you please pick a piece of jewellery from our collection and tell us why you picked this at first sight?
My favourite piece from your collection is the Helen Bracelet with the green gemstone. This jumped out at me as I love the stones and it has just the right amount of detail for my taste. Really stunning bracelet!
How do you see accessories, such as charms or pendants, reflecting the personality or individuality of pets?
Well my doggo isn’t great with his words so I will have to speak for him, but I love anything silver and black on him. He has also tried on one of your silver beaded necklaces which made him look even more handsome than usual.
What considerations should pet owners keep in mind when selecting jewellery or accessories for their pets?
I never put anything heavy on the doggo and if I do put more than just his collar on him I don’t leave it on for long. He has a leather jacket that my friend got him and he struts around like a show dog in that which is hilarious!
